Environmental management policies and commitments

SITC International is committed to becoming a responsible shipping and logistics company on a global scale, deeply aware of our responsibilities in the global environment and the importance of minimizing environmental impact and continuously improving environmental performance. Our public environmental policy outlines our commitment and oversight responsibilities for the implementation of environmental management programs and the improvement of environmental performance, aiming to ensure that our business operates within a sustainable and responsible framework.

1.Business background

We are well aware of the key role of the shipping industry in the global trade chain. At the same time, our associated port and onshore logistics operations further strengthen our presence throughout the supply chain. We understand that this geographic diversity creates unique challenges for environmental management, and we are willing to assume appropriate responsibilities in this diverse environment.

2. Environmental challenges

1) Carbon emissions management: We will actively seek to reduce carbon emissions from our ships and transportation processes. Adopt advanced fuel technology, ship design and energy efficiency measures to achieve climate change mitigation goals. And promote carbon neutrality and carbon offset projects to offset unavoidable emissions.

2) Energy Efficiency: We will pursue energy efficiency in transportation and logistics operations, maximizing energy efficiency and reducing fuel consumption by optimizing ship routes and adopting advanced energy-saving technologies and equipment.

3) Marine protection: As a practitioner in the field of marine transportation, we will be committed to taking all necessary measures to reduce marine pollution. This includes, but is not limited to, using environmentally friendly fuels, reducing plastic use, and supporting marine ecosystem conservation projects.

4) Waste Management: We will take measures to minimize waste generation and develop an effective waste management plan. Promote a circular economy, encourage waste recycling and reuse, and minimize the negative impact of waste on the environment.

5) Biodiversity: In our ports and logistics operations, we will protect and promote local biodiversity. We are committed not to conduct business operations that endanger biodiversity in areas with biodiversity risks, and are committed to protecting the ecological environment and endangered species. We will comply with relevant regulations to ensure that the impact of our operations on local ecosystems is minimized.

11. Scope of application of environmental policies

Our environmental management policy clearly covers the following areas to ensure that we are committed to reducing adverse impacts on the environment in all aspects:

1) Production operations and commercial facilities: We will take a series of measures to minimize the negative impact on the environment of production and operation activities, which are mainly focused on maritime transportation, port loading and unloading, and land logistics. The measures we take will include energy efficiency, waste reduction, pollution control and more.

2) Products and Services: We are committed to providing environmentally friendly products and services. We are already looking at the possibility of replacing ships with new, environmentally friendly fuels and installing energy-saving and pollution control equipment on existing ships.

3) Distribution and logistics: We will optimize transportation and logistics processes to reduce carbon emissions and other environmental impacts. Adopting optimized transportation routes and promoting the use of green land logistics vehicles will become our goals.

4) Waste management: We will formulate and implement waste management plans to minimize waste generation and promote the reasonable processing, recycling and reuse of waste. This includes internal waste management and collaboration with supply chain partners.

5) Suppliers, service providers and contractors: We will hold our suppliers and partners to the same high environmental standards and work with them to work together to reduce the environmental footprint throughout the supply chain.

6) Other major business partners: We will actively cooperate with other major business partners to ensure that their business activities also meet high environmental standards and seek common environmental solutions.

7) Due diligence, mergers and acquisitions: When conducting due diligence and mergers and acquisitions, we will comprehensively consider the environmental performance of the target company and ensure that the environmental impact during the integration process is minimized.

By covering these key areas, our environmental policy aims to ensure that the impact of the company's overall operations on the environment is minimized and to enable our business to make substantial progress towards environmental sustainability. We encourage the active participation of employees, partners and stakeholders to jointly promote the goals of sustainable development.
