SITC sponsors the Smart Logistics Datathon 2024 of the Chinese University of Hong Kong
From April 2nd to 4th, 2024 The Smart Logistics Datathon 2024 (“Datathon”), organized by The Chinese University of Hong Kong, was successfully held at Cyberport, Hong Kong.
The event was held by the Asian Institute of Supply Chains & Logistics (AISCL), aiming to inspire participants to develop innovative insights on operations, services, or business models through big data analytics. The Datathon is financially supported by the HKSAR Government’s newly launched Logistics Promotion Funding Scheme under the Maritime and Aviation Training Fund. Participants were given a non-stop 35-hour period to understand and conduct in-depth analysis on provided sets of transport and logistics-related data. The event not only provided participants with a first-hand experience of the complex data processing behind online shopping, but also provided an opportunity for young people to explore the entrepreneurial and innovative opportunities related to the logistics industry.
SITC donated for this event, further exploring academic exchanges between schools and enterprises, and promoting the creative upgrade of digitalization and intelligence of port and shipping logistics. The company will adhere to promoting innovation and is committed to promoting scientific and technological progress and sustainable development.
