SITC Shipping Management Shanghai Successfully Passed the Annual DOC Audit by China Classification Society

From April 8th to 10th, 2025, SITC Shipping Management (Shanghai) Co.,LTD. was visited by a four-person audit team jointly formed by China Classification Society (CCS) and the Hong Kong Marine Department. The company successfully passed the three-day annual audit of the safety management system for Hong Kong and Panamanian flag vessels (DOC audit). This audit strictly followed the standards and requirements of the International Safety Management Code (ISM Code), conducting a comprehensive and in-depth review of the company's system documents and shore-based management team.

During the audit, the audit team highly affirmed the efficient operation of the ship management team despite the expansion of the fleet and increased management pressure. At the same time, they put forward several improvement suggestions regarding the implementation of system documents and energy efficiency management. The company promptly formulated a rectification plan and achieved a closed-loop rectification through measures such as revising systems and optimizing processes to achieve a clear and efficient management structure. In addition to the audit, the CCS audit team also held a special lecture on ballast water operation and record requirements, which was well-received. In the future, the company will continue to invite external institutions or experts to conduct specialized training to continuously improve its management and business levels.

After confirmation by the classification society's auditors,  SITC Shipping Management successfully obtained the 2025 annual DOC endorsement for Hong Kong and Panamanian flag vessels, marking that its safety management system continues to meet the latest standards of the International Safety Management Code (ISM Code). The company will focus on promoting the construction of a ship-shore collaborative digital system platform and improving the crew return rate, among other efforts, to continuously enhance the quality of ship management services.
