Briefing on the 2025 Q2 & First Half Safety Production Summary Meeting of SITC Shipping

On July 23, 2025, SITC Shipping convened the "Q2 & First Half 2025 Safety Production Summary Meeting" in Conference Room 401 of the Zhangjiang Office, Shanghai. Attendees included members of the Shipping Safety Committee, the Safety Supervision and Management Department, the Technical Equipment Management Dept., all personnel from Shanghai Ship Management and Shandong Ship Management, as well as leaders from the Crewing Company, SITC  Maritime Services, and SITC Broker.

The meeting comprehensively reviewed the overall safety production performance for Q2 and the first half of the year, announcing the assessment results of vessel safety inspections and maintenance during Q2. Based on typical issues identified in incidents and inspections this quarter, key priorities and objectives for Q3 safety inspections and maintenance were established. Each safety-related unit conducted a comparative analysis of its safety production performance.

Closing Remarks by SITC Shipping President Ji Wenguang:

"Safety production is the cornerstone and safeguard of sustainable Shipping development. Over the past year since SITC Shipping's establishment, the safety production management system has been optimized and restructured, with the first half of the year demonstrating stable and positive safety performance. However, complacency is not an option—we must maintain high standards and strict requirements in safety production. Emphasis must be placed on process control, proactive prevention, and accountability in safety management. Rigorous risk identification and mitigation are critical, with a 'zero-tolerance' approach toward recurring issues."

President Ji also exchanged insights on several initiatives, including the formulation of standardized vessel cost plans, a performance evaluation mechanism for ship-shore collaboration, implementation requirements for the vessel management system, the vision for an intelligent visual management platform, and the introduction of internal audit consultants.

Moving Forward:

SITC Shipping will continue leveraging institutional mechanisms such as quarterly safety production meetings to conduct regular reviews and dynamic improvements in safety operations. The company will establish a market-oriented vessel management evaluation framework integrating safety, cost, efficiency, and quality, continuously enhancing fleet operational safety and reliability to deliver superior service to clients.
