“Protecting Birds at Mai Po Wetlands, Joint Efforts for a Green Vision”--Team-Building Activity Report for SITC Hong Kong Region, 2026
On January 24, 2026, colleagues from SITC Hong Kong office gathered at the beautiful Mai Po Wildlife Reserve to participate in a vibrant and enriching ecological volunteer activity and biodiversity tour.
The wetland conservation event was held with the support of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Mr. Xue Peng, Company Secretary and General Manager of the Operation Management Center of SITC, Dr. Wen and Mr. Chau from WWF delivered speeches, exchanging insights on environmental protection and biodiversity while expressing their commitment to further collaboration in ecological conservation. Through training on wetland conservation, vegetation maintenance, and tree surveys, the colleagues gained a deeper understanding of biodiversity protection and the sustainable development of natural ecosystems. The Kokedama ecological workshop and nature conservation challenge added an element of fun to learning, sparking everyone’s curiosity about ecological knowledge. The Mai Po biodiversity tour allowed participants to closely observe the beauty of mangroves, freshwater wetlands, and various rare migratory birds.
During this team-building activity, colleagues collaborated and supported each other, contributing both sweat and greenery to nature. The event not only strengthened everyone’s sense of responsibility toward protecting the ecosystem and contributing to environmental efforts but also collectively shaped a vision of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature through practical actions. Hand in hand, we strive for sustainable development.
