SITC Participated in the Hong Kong Marine Department Award Ceremony and Won Three Major Awards
On June 12, 2026, the 2026 Shipping Awards Ceremony, jointly hosted by the Hong Kong Marine Department and the Hong Kong Shipowners Association, was held in Hong Kong. The event focused on the high-quality and green development direction of Hong Kong as an international shipping center, and commended shipping companies that have demonstrated outstanding performance in ESG sustainable development, ship safety control, and green low-carbon transformation. At this ceremony, SITC and its subsidiary SITC Shipping Management (Shanghai) Co.,LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Shanghai Ship Management") won three core honors, becoming the center of attention. Zhang Haiyu, Assistant President of SITC Shipping, attended the event and accepted the awards on behalf of the company.
The MD-WMMF ESG Award was established for the first time at this event. SITC with its solid achievements in full-chain sustainable operation system, low-carbon fleet upgrade, crew humanistic care, and compliant governance, was awarded the industry's first-ever top ESG award.
Shanghai Ship Management has simultaneously won two major business awards: the "Outstanding Performance Award for Port State Control Inspection in 2025" and the "Excellence Award for Green Ships in 2025". In recent years, Shanghai Ship Management has adhered to refined and integrated ship-shore control, continuously improved ship safety, maintenance, crew training mechanisms, and maintained a high-quality PSC record with low defects and zero detentions for a long time. At the same time, it has proactively implemented IMO carbon reduction targets, continuously optimized ship energy efficiency, and obtained continuous official recognition for its stable green operation achievements. This is also the many consecutive year that Shanghai Ship Management has won these two prestigious awards.
In the future, SITC will continue to focus on the dual main lines of safety compliance and green shipping, deepen the construction of the ESG system, and persistently contribute to the green and high-quality development of the shipping industry in Hong Kong and globally.
