SITC crew members participated in the China Seafarers Navigation Skills Competition

From June 25 to 29, the 7th National Seafarer Skills Competition, sponsored by the Maritime Safety Administration of the Ministry of Transport and the All-China Federation of Trade Unions Seafarers Construction Committee, was held in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province. Centered on the theme “Chasing Maritime Ambitions amid Surging Waves, Pursuing a Powerful Maritime Nation with Craftsmanship”, the event brought together outstanding seafarers from shipping enterprises nationwide to compete on the same stage. Our company selected two core senior seafarers to take part in individual events.

Both contestants are veteran crew members with long-term frontline experience. Engaged in hands-on ship operations year-round, they have built solid and proficient practical expertise in a wide range of disciplines including heaving line throwing, equipment disassembly and assembly, emergency fire fighting, and wire rope splicing. During the competition, the two participants remained calm and performed standardly throughout all assessments, fully demonstrating the solid professional capabilities and rigorous professional demeanor of SITC Crew.

This competition serves as both a platform for industrial skill exchange and an opportunity to evaluate the outcomes of seafarer team development. Taking this competition as a key starting point, the company will continuously carry out on-the-job skill training, comprehensively improve seafarers’ comprehensive competencies, cultivate a high-caliber seafarer workforce, and bolster the high-quality and steady development of the Group’s shipping business.
