SITC and Shanghai Maritime University Holds a School-Enterprise Cooperation Meeting
On July 6, 2026, a delegation led by Yang Xianxiang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SITC, visited Shanghai Maritime University to have a discussions with Cao Rongrui, Secretary of the University Party Committee, and heads of relevant university departments and colleges.
The university proposed that both parties jointly establish a benchmark for industry-education integration, expressing the hope that SITC would become deeply involved in the entire talent development process to ensure a precise alignment between corporate needs and educational outcomes. SITC stated that it would draw upon its corporate resources to comprehensively support the university’s research endeavours, the development of its academic disciplines and specialisations, and the long-term development of its students.
This discussion further consolidated the foundation for university-enterprise collaboration, helping to enhance the quality and efficiency of the university’s shipping-focused talent development programmes, and injecting momentum in terms of talent and research into the high-quality development of the shipping industry.
