SITC and Beibu Gulf Port Group Hold Exchange Talks
On July 14, 2026, Yang Xianxiang, Executive Chairman of SITC, and CEO Xue Mingyuan travelled to Nanning for talks with Hu Huaping, Party Secretary and Chairman of Beibu Gulf Port Group, General Manager Ma Zhengguo and Deputy General Manager Mo Nu. Relevant business leaders and representatives from both parties attended the meeting together.
The discussion reviewed years of fruitful cooperation. Leveraging SITC’s shipping resources, the two parties have carried out in-depth collaboration in container shipping, sea-rail intermodal transport and shipping route layout, effectively driving steady growth in foreign trade throughput of Beibu Gulf Port.
All participants agreed to seize the opportunity brought by the opening of the Pinglu Canal to expand cooperation scope. They will deepen coordination on key areas including ASEAN shipping route expansion, cargo sourcing for the Pinglu Canal, cross-border transit trains and sea-rail intermodal transport, tap cargo sources in inland southwest China, optimize transportation arrangements and boost import and export volumes, so as to jointly build an ASEAN-oriented shipping route network centered on Beibu Gulf Port.
Going forward, SITC and Beibu Gulf Port Group will work together to achieve win-win results, boost the quality and efficiency of Guangxi’s foreign trade and advance the high-quality development of its marine-oriented economy.
