Shandong Ship Management Successfully Passed MSA Special Inspection and Rectification for DOC
On the morning of July 23, 2026, a four-member inspection team from the Shandong Maritime Safety Administration and the Qingdao Maritime Safety Administration visited Shandong Ship Management to carry out the special inspection and rectification campaign on "Prominent Problems Arising from Shipping Companies' Management of Vessel Violations". This nationwide special campaign mainly focused on the shore and ship implementation of the "1 Guideline and 6 Supporting Guides" issued by the MSA, as well as the supporting revisions to the Safety Management System (SMS) documents. The inspection team held discussions with the Company's DPA, Technical Superintendent, Marine Superintendent, Safety and Quality Management Department Superintendent, and Crew Superintendent, to gain an in-depth understanding of the implementation of various safety management activities organized by the Company in accordance with its SMS documents.
After a thorough and meticulous on-site verification covering shore-ship management and the implementation of various measures throughout the morning, the inspection team spoke highly of the proactive commitment and excellent safety management performance demonstrated by SITC Shipping and Shandong Ship Management in fulfilling their primary corporate safety responsibilities. The team also noted that some of the Company's management practices and philosophies are worthy of promotion and reference within the industry.
