SITC Attended CHINA MARITIME FORUM 2020
July 11, 2020 is the 16th China Navigation day. "2020 China Navigation day forum" with the theme of "Work Together to Facilitate the Flow of Goods" was held in Shanghai. Mr. Liu Xiaoming, Deputy Minister of transport, Mr. Tang Zhiping, deputy mayor of Shanghai Municipal People's government, Mr. Li Tianbi, safety director of the Ministry of transport, Mr. Huang Rong, Deputy Secretary General of Shanghai Municipal People's government, and other leaders attended the forum. Lin Jize, Secretary General of IMO, delivered a video address. Mr. Yang Xianxiang, Vice Chairman & CEO of SITC International attended the forum and participate in the high-end dialogue as a guest speaker.
In the face of the international economic and trade situation in the context of the epidemic, this forum aims to put forward enlightening ideas and suggestions for safeguarding the international logistics supply chain system and promoting the sustainable growth of the world economy. Senior leaders from international maritime organizations and transportation authorities, leaders of the global shipping industry, and famous experts and scholars talked about the development of international shipping and logistics supply chain guarantee under the new situation. At the meeting, the 2020 Xinhua-Baltic Exchange International Shipping Center Development Index was Launched, and Shanghai ranked among the top three international shipping centers for the first time, second only to Singapore and London. Shanghai port has the largest container throughput for ten consecutive years, the collection and distribution system has been constantly improved, and the service level and business environment have been steadily improved. The Asia Pacific shipping center, represented by Shanghai, has maintained a good upward momentum, and the global shipping resource allocation capacity has accelerated the "Eastward Movement".
